On June 29, 2010 Metro Event Specialists (MES) hosted its 5th networking event at one of DC’s newest venues, George. With 350 event planners and caterers in attendance the event was officially the largest event in the history of MES.

D.C. has no shortage of venues for special events: music halls, nightclubs, private rooms in fancy restaurants, and a convention center. But there’s one resource that is ubiquitous to the nation’s capital but tends to get overlooked: the embassy. This may be due to a common misconception, that embassies are only available to organizations with a direct connection to the country of the venue.
